If you received a call on a cell phone from Asset Acceptance, LLC or someone acting on behalf of Asset Acceptance, LLC using a dialer between April 17, 2009 and September 4, 2014, without your consent, you may be eligible to claim compensation from a Class Action Lawsuit.
This website informs you about a pending Class Action Lawsuit against Asset Acceptance, LLC. The lawsuit alleges that the Defendant violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, (“TCPA”) by calling persons on their cell phones using an automatic telephone dialing system, or artificial or prerecorded voice, without prior express consent.
You are included in the Class if you received a call from Asset Acceptance, LLC or someone acting on behalf of Asset Acceptance, LLC made using a dialer between April 17, 2009 and September 4, 2014.
The Claim Period, Exclusion Period, and Objection Period are now open only for persons who received the supplemental postcard notice that was mailed out on or about April 6, 2016. The Claim Period, Exclusion Period, and Objection Period for all other persons is now closed.
Your Legal Right and Options
Submit a Claim:
If you received a supplemental postcard notice in the mail, you may submit a Claim electronically on this website or in writing by completing the paper Claim Form downloaded from this website and mailing the completed form to the Settlement Administrator postmarked by May 6, 2016. In order for your claim to be submitted and accepted, you MUST include your Claim ID number on the claim.
If you received a supplemental postcard notice in the mail, you have the right to request to be excluded from the Settlement. If you do so, you will not be entitled to any payment under the Settlement, but you may pursue your own lawsuit against the defendant. You must exclude yourself by May 6, 2016. Please include your Claim ID number on your exclusion request.
If you received a supplemental postcard notice in the mail, you have the right to tell the Court if you have an objection to the Settlement. You can do this only if you do not exclude yourself. You must object in writing by May 6, 2016. Please include your Claim ID number on the objection.
If you do nothing, you will receive no payment or debt forgiveness and will give up your rights to assert any claims with respect to the issues raised in this Settlement.
